4K Ultra HD TV Prices Are Way Down

Many people are not aware of the fact that buying a 4K Ultra HD TV today is no different from buying a 1080p HD TV.  Yep, that’s right….the prices are the same.

So, why would anyone upgrade to another 1080 HD TV rather than purchase a new 4K Ultra HD TV?  Some consumers have gotten confused and play it ‘safe’ by purchasing another 1080 HD TV.

We do NOT recommend this.  Research and shop for a new 4K Ultra HD TV on Amazon.com.  They always have the lowest prices and largest selection of 4K TVs.

4K Ultra HD TV

Don’t Buy Another 1080 HD TV!

Buy A 4K Ultra HD TV

This does not make any sense!  One reason might be that many consumers still do not know what “4K” is or what it means.  Some people think that 4K is some kind of exotic, special device that only the rich people buy as a ‘toy’.

They think that it costs way too much for them to even consider buying.  But, this simply is NOT the case whatsoever.

4K is the technology that is REPLACING 720 & 1080 HD Televisions.  Just like HD-High Definition replaced SD- Standard Definition, so does UHD-Ultra High Definition replace HD.

Just to be clear, UHD which means “Ultra High Definition” means the same as “4K“.  The final label used today on boxes and shelves is “4K Ultra HD“.  Or “4K UHD“.

4K Ultra HD TV

4K Ultra HD TV Pixels

They simply added ‘ULTRA‘ to High Definition because there are an ultra amount of extra pixels within a 4K TV that a 1080 HD TV does not have.  To be exact, a 4K TV contains FOUR more times as many pixels in its resolution than any 1080 HD TV has.

This makes a BIG difference in the picture image quality.  A 4K image looks so real and true-to-life that its like you are looking through a window at a real live scene.  But, instead its your display that you are looking at.

The details and features you will see on a 4K display are not visible on any other television.  Instead of seeing a water fall,…you can see the specific droplets of water spraying out into the air.

Instead of a beach,…you can see sand grains on the ground.  It basically looks like what you would see with your bare naked eyeballs in person.  This is a serious enhancement to our TV watching and we are very excited to be educating consumers about 4K.

You can help us by sharing our Posts & Site with your friends and family on Facebook and elsewhere.  Our goal is to inform as many people as we can BEFORE they upgrade their television.

You do not want to make the mistake of buying another 1080p HD Television when, for a similar price, you can buy a new 4K Ultra High Definition Television and be amazed every time you watch it.

Content On A 4K Ultra HD TV

Those people who have upgraded to 4K simply LOVE their television.  They know exactly what we are talking about when we describe the quality of a 4K Ultra HD TV.  There is nothing like it.

Watching a real native 4K movie on a new 4K TV is an unforgettable experience if it is your first time.  It never gets old.  Not only is it wonderful to watch a real 4K movie, but ALL 4K TVs do what is called UPSCALING or UPCONVERTING.  These two words mean the same exact thing.

A 4K TV will automatically digitally enhance the picture and improve the resolution of any 720 or 1080 HD film.  It must be at least HD format.  It cannot upscale a standard definition or analog film.

However, most of what we all watch is High Definition (720 or 1080).

The 4K TV cannot always enhance the pixel resolution to full 4K.  Instead, it fills in all the additional pixels that a 4K contains and drastically improves the quality of the picture image.

However, consumers should not be disappointed when they watch an upscaled movie on their 4K TV because it is not going to look as good as a native, real 4K movie.  The difference is in how the film was made.

Did they use a 2K camera or a 4K camera?

4K Ultra HD Television

For the past 15 years, producers have been making films using mostly 2K resolution camera systems.  This began to change just a few years ago when the first 4K Ultra HD came out.

They saw the ‘writing on the wall’.  Producers knew that within a few years, most consumers would own a 4K television.

They were exactly correct.  2017 is the year when most consumers will upgrade their TV to 4K.  Most of what is being advertised and sold today are 4K Ultra HD Televisions.  Again, this is because 4K is replacing 1080 HD entirely.

Companies Want You To Upgrade To A 4K Ultra HD TV

Manufacturers do not want to build 720 or 1080 HD TVs anymore.  They want to only produce 4K UHD TVs.  Because of this, they have said that they are dropping overall prices on 4K TVs to match closer with prices on 1080 HD TVs.

This is great news for consumers.  Follow our link to Amazon and see for yourself.  Compare prices and you will see that 4K TVs are the only way to go.

We recently saw on Amazon.com that you can purchase a large 65-inch Samsung 4K Ultra HD SMART TV that is CURVED for only about $1,200 bucks!  That is an incredible price for such a quality high resolution television.

It being curved is just an extra bonus.  Curved TVs do not provide much extra benefit.  They are mostly for impressing your friends because they look really cool. 4K Ultra HD TV

4K TVs and technology will be around for several more decades.  HD has existed for over 15 years now.  When high definition first came out, consumers were absolutely amazed at how crisp and clear the picture was.

Compared to Standard Definition (SD), HD was like ‘day & night’.  It was so much better to watch than analog.

The best part about HD was that we got rid of those big, lanky, ugly and extremely heavy tube boxes.  We have had to deal with them for many decades.

You guys know what I mean if you were born prior to about 1995.

It might hurt your eyes to see, but we posted some images of those nasty tube boxes below.  It took 3 grown men to move one of them.  Whereas, with HD…the ‘flat panel’ TV was invented.

These still exist today and can be hung on walls or placed over a fire place.  They are lightweight and AWESOME!  4K TVs are just the same flat panel looking TVs as 1080 HD TVs are.  They look the same.

4K Ultra HD TV

4K Ultra HD TV

Although the 2nd image above shows a tube box converted into a fish tank, that was about the best purpose for these hideous television sets.  No…I digress.

I guess it was better to have something to watch than nothing at all.  But, couldn’t our great scientists have enhanced the picture sooner than they did?  It wasn’t until the early 2000s that the High Definition TV was created.

It took over all households and most people today still have at least one 1080 HD TV in their home.

Most Households Don’t Have A 4K Ultra HD TV  (Yet)

Actually, statistics tell us that only 20% of U.S. house holds have upgraded to 4K.  Ultra HD Televisions have been on shelves for over 3 years now.

Consumers have been slow to upgrade to 4K until now.  In 2017, we are seeing a major increase in 4K TV sales.  We attribute this to pricing.

Back in 2014 when 4K was still very new, we paid about $2,790 for our Sony 65 inch 4K UHD SMART TV.  That was a steep price considering that today this same exact TV cost only $1,400

But, it was well worth it.  We have been able to enjoy 4K movies and shows for 3 years now.

You are reading a Post from www.4KADVICE.comAgain, we ask that you please SHARE this Post with your friends.  Our goal is to help inform as many people as we can about this newer 4K technology.

You are missing out on this great TV watching experience if you do not upgrade to a 4K TV.  Do it on your time, but remember that overall prices are way down and there is plenty of 4K content to keep you busy for a long, long time.

More 4K content is being released every day.

4K Ultra HD TV

There are two main reasons why consumers have stalled on buying a 4K TV over the past 3 years since 4K first came out.  We mentioned them above.

Number 1   Prices were very high like they usually are on any new technology.

Number 2   Consumers felt that there was not enough 4K content to justify upgrading to a 4K TV.

Both of these points may have been true 2-3 years ago, but NOT so today.  There are 4K movies and TV shows galore.

You can stream an endless amount of films using such TV apps as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and YouTube.

All 4K TVs contain a SMART dashboard that gives you access to the internet.  They also contain over 100 TV apps like Netflix that serve your 4K streaming needs.

4K Ultra HD TV

If you don’t want to stream 4K material, then you can acquire a 4K UHD Blu-Ray player.  On Amazon, these are the cheapest.

You can buy a 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray player for about $120.  Do not be confused and buy the wrong Blu-Ray player.  There is a difference between the traditional Blu-Ray player and the new 4K UHD Blu-Ray player.

You will also need some cordage.  Be sure that you obtain an HDMI 2.0 cord to hook up your BluRay player to your new 4K TV.

4K Ultra HD TV

4K Ultra HD TV Streaming & Blu-Ray

4K UHD Blu-Ray movies and TV show series provide you the absolute greatest quality picture image out of all 4K content.  4K Blu-Rays are simply the best and look the most true-to-life while watching on a 4K TV.  It looks so real that it is stunning to watch.

As far as network broadcasting goes…few channels are broadcasting in 4K yet.  Not enough consumers own 4K TVs yet to justify a full broadcast in 3820 -4K resolution.

However, they are beginning to do so.  The History channel recently broadcast a TV series in 4K.  It was awesome to watch.  It must have been mastered using 4K cameras because it was real, native 4K quality.

More networks will follow suit and soon much of what you see on normal TV will be broadcast in 4K.  We cannot wait for this time to come!

What are you waiting for?

Are you ready to upgrade to a 4K TV set?  There is nothing wrong with 1080 HD TV.  They certainly served their purpose for over a decade.

However, as technology goes, we get to experience an enhanced version of HD now that is called UHD – Ultra High Definition.  And, it truly is FOUR times better in overall picture quality than 1080 HD.

Go shopping for one now.  Use our Amazon links and support our site 4KADVICE.com.  Bring the entire family in on the experience of 4K and create some lasting memories.

  1. We bought our first 4K UHD TV in 2014 and it was a large 65-inch. We paid BIG money because this 4K tech was new at that time still. Fast forward til today and the same TV is more than HALF the cost that we paid. It hurts to think that, but on the other hand we have Zero regrets because we have enjoyed watching 4K movies and shows, not to mention GAMING on our sony 4K for over 3 years now. Its awesome. If you don’t have one, go and request a demo at your local electronics store. Its worth looking into this for sure.

  3. Right now, the television in my house is still the 1080 HD TV. Now I can see why I should stop buying 1080 HD televisions, and start buying those 4K Ultra HD televisions.
Just curious, since you say that 4K Ultra is to replace the 1080 HD, then why do shops still sell it?

    1. HI Michael – thanks for commenting on our Post and supporting our site http://www.4kadvice.com in this way.

Most people still have 1080 HD TVs.  You are NOT alone.  I actually still have 2 1080 HD TVs in other bedrooms and then our main family room is the SOny 65 inch 4K UHD TV we bought 3 years ago on Amazon.  We saved over $300 by shopping on Amazon compared to in-store so happy about that!

Well, talking longer-term…4K Ultra HD is the technology in general that will replace 720 and 1080 HD over time.  It wont happen over-night.  Compare it to how High Definition (HD) REPLACED SD-Standard Definition back in the early 2000s.  That too took some time, but eventually EVERYONE switched over to HD flat panel TVs and today that is all that people have.

Same thing with 4K UHD TVs…will happen.  Slowly everyone is upgrading to 4K and not buying another 1080 HD TV since that doesn’t make sense.  Everything is moving toward 4K resolution including cameras and films and movies and TVs.

IF you look at most advertisements for shops and merchants on or off line MOST of what you will see are ads for 4K UHD TVs….1080 HD is considered obsolete but it will take a few years for them to die out.

Another factor about 4K TVs that help justify buying one sooner than later is that they ALL do what is called UPSCALING or UPCONVERTING. They automatically enhance the resolution on any 720 or 1080 HD film being played on it. This makes most of what you watch much better than 1080 HD.  Its not upscaled to full 4K but somewhere in between.

To get the best 4K content you need to stream rea, native 4K movies and shows.  These are shows that were filmed using 4K resolution cameras. Soon they will all be but this too will take some years to happen while producers switch over their expensive commercial camera systems.

Hope that helps. Thanks again, MB

1080 HD – WHAT IS UPSCALING?

  4. 4k is bound to happen on a huge scale just like digital replaced analog. The difference in the viewing experience is incredible. As you say, it’s like looking out a window.

I’m glad you have gotten 3 years so far out of your current TV. I worry that there is some built in obsolescence in these, so that every couple years you need to buy a new one.

That said, we are in the market for an additional TV for our new finished basement. 4K is the way we are going to go. Of course, if we wait too much longer, we may not have any choice. The future marches on!

    1. Hi Warren, thanks for commenting on our Post and supporting our site in this way.  You are very correct and we agree that 4K has to explode soon and replace 1080 HD just like HD replaced SD.  Everyone will eventually own 4K TVs and slowly replaced their 1080 HD TVs with 4K.

Great point about tech going obsolete.  But, with that said, we saw High Definition existing now for over 17 years without much change to it.

We expect 4K UHD to do the same thing and last at least another 15 years or more.  Plus, they recently add HDR high dynamic Range feature to all 4K TVs and require makers put this in.  This is what really makes the picture look real (HDR) because its color gamut is far beyond what it use to be.  HDR makes the picture have colors that were recorded exactly by the camera. So, what you see is like what you would see in person with your naked eye-balls.   Pretty freakin awesome to watch 4K content!

Good luck to you and  your finished basement.  We always recommend Amazon and that is where we bought our first Sony 4K TV as we may have mentioned in our Posts.  We saved over $300 even though 4K TVs were still priced high in 2014.

Not anymore, 4K prices are about the same as any 1080 HD TV price.  They want consumers upgrading to 4K so they made the price competitive with what remains of 1080 HD TVs.

Please feel free to click on our Amazon links and go shopping for 4K via Amazon. . Free shipping that is safe and guaranteed.  Our came within 1 day and was delivered right into our family room.  Mostly what we love about Amazon is being able to read real, honest reviews from other customers who bought the same 4K TV that we were interested in buying.  You get the real scoop by reading reviews.  Here are some other Posts that might be helpful to you.  Take Care, Matt B.

BEST 4K TVs IN 2017 (some 2016 models)

  6. Well now all the pieces are coming together. I went TV shopping with an elder friend of mine, his old TV had given up. When we walked into the store he was looking at some big screens. When I looked at the specs I told him to walk away because they were 1080’s. Then we saw the 4k and they weren’t that much more expensive. I couldn’t put 2 and 2 together, but now it all makes sense!
Thank you for a great article

  7. Sounds like the 4K TV is the way to go. If I can see specific droplets of water spraying out and see sand grains on the ground, I’d say this is producing top notch images. Wow… 1200.00 isn’t a bad price for 65” Samsung 4K TV. Is that in US dollars? I think the prices go down a lot too if it’s being around for awhile. I’ll definitely check this out. Thanks!

BEST 4K TVs IN 2017 (some 2016 models)

  8. Hello Matt,

I had 4 LED TVs and thought they were just the greatest things in the world. I had 1 in the den, and 1 in each of the 3 bedrooms. When the 1 in the den went out I purchased a 4K tv. This was a year ago and I got a 60 inch for $1,800 because it was on sale. BAM, what a difference. I never thought there would be that much difference. I ended up selling the LED TV in my bedroom for a few hundred bucks and bought another 4K for my bedroom. The kids will have to wait on the 4K until Christmas. There is a tremendous picture quality difference.
I did not know these TVs upconverted. I really like this. Does this work for Blue Ray Discs playing in a Blue Ray DVD player?

    1. Hi Mike, How are you doing?  We wish to thank you for taking the time to read our Posts and view our site http://www.4KADVICE.com  We hope that we have reached our goal in providing you helpful information about this newer 4K tech.  Have we?

Yes, we agree that if you watch a real, native 4K-made movie or TV show there is a HUGE difference in the picture image quality over a 1080 HD- made movie or show.

It is really stunning how real and true-to-life the picture looks while watching.  It is as if you are there live and seeing things with your bare naked eye balls.

  10. I wouldn’t have known that 4K Ultra High Definition TV is a better option compared to the High Definition TV. I intend to purchase a new TV soon. I should definitely purchase the 4K UHD TV. I will also need the amazon link to make my purchase. Thanks so much for sharing this.

    1. Hi John, Yes you absolutely want to upgrade to a 4K Ultra HD and NOT, NOT NOT buy another 1080 HD TV.  It does not make sense since 4K Tvs are FOUR times better in overall quality than HD AND, the prices are about the same.

You can upgrade to a 4K TV for the same price as a 1080 HD TV nowadays.

Thanks for visiting our site and Please come back to click on our Links to take you over to Amazon.com which is the best and only place to shop for and buy your first 4K Ultra HD TV.  Since they have the lowest prices and largest selection and FREE 2 day shipping.  Take Care, matt b.

  11. Wow, the prices have come down a LOT! What would you say, Sony or Samsung? All the TVs I have now are Samsung, and Sony used to be the big player. I like to go with the best brand that has a good warranty and parts to fix the TV if necessary. Does it go without saying that the UHD will also be a smart TV? I am so itching to get away from satellite or cable completely. Ridiculous prices for a bunch of channels I never watch!

    1. Hello!  Thanks for reading our Posts and supporting our site by commenting.  We do appreciate this and ask you to support us further by sharing our Posts and Site http://www.4KADVICE.com with your friends so that we can reach and educate MORE people about 4K.

We would say that both Sony and Samsung are high quality 4K TVs and you cannot go wrong with either.

However, if we had to choose it would be SONY.  Sony was the first to pioneer this 4K Technology and has a ‘leg up’ on their competition in our research.

We also own a Sony 4K UHD TV and we totally love it.  We too, shopped and researched ALL 4K TVs back in 2014 and settled on Sony.

Yes, great question and comment.  We have a post about this, but to answer…YES—->  All 4K TVs are SMART.  This is because they need to access the internet in order to stream 4K movies and TV shows.  Most 4K content can be found on these streaming sites like Netflix and Hulu and Amazon therefore they made ALL 4k TVs SMART.

You are not alone.  As a matter of fact, we spend the majority of our time streaming 4K TV shows and movies via Netflix and Amazon Video.  I hate commercials so it is the best way to go.

All you need is a strong, fast internet connection to stream 4K and you are set with a 4K TV.

Below are some additional Posts that might interest you.  Thanks Again, Matt B.

4KUHD TV is the best TV on market now. I really love the image quality, you can see the sand grain on the ground.
Not like non 4k TV that you can see the water fall. Watching on 4K UH D TV at home, is like watching movies at the cinema. The picture is bold and clearer than non 4K TV.

I have switched my non 4K TV to 4K UH D TV and i really love it. I will recommend 4K UH D TV for any one looking for new TV.

There is a lot of affordable 4K UHD TV on the market, the price wise difference from non 4K is not much.

Shop around for 4K UHD TV for the best price.

Thank you again for the review,

    1. Hello AYO,  How are you doing?  Thank you for commenting on our Post and supporting our site http://www.4kadvice.com by joining in on this discussion about 4K technology and TvS.

We agree that 4K picture image is absolutely stunning to watch!  You can see details that you could never ever see on any 720 or 1080 HD TV.

As a matter of fact, the picture image on any 4K TV if you are watching real, native 4K-made movies or shows looks like what you would see with your own eyes in person.

I say real, native 4K because there is a difference between UPSCALED 4K content and rea;, native made 4K content.

The difference is in what kind of camera was used to film it.  If they used 4K resolution cameras you get real , native 4K.  but, if they only used 2K cameras (720 or 1080 HD level) then the producers have to upscale or upconvert which mean the same thing.

This is when they digitally enhance the film and use all the extra pixels found in a 4K display to spread out the data.  They then label it “4K”  however it is not true 4K.

It is good to know what you are watching.  Below is a Post of ours that provides a link to a database that lists all movies and TV shows.  It verifies if the movie or who is NATIVE 4K or UPSCALED 4K.

Thanks and please come back to our site and use our Amazon links to make your purchases.  – Matt B.

  13. Hi Winston
Thank you very much for such an interesting and comprehensive post about $k ultra HD TV. I think the replacement of the HD TV set to the new 4K one will take at least two to three more years, because you don’t replace your TV just because a new technology appears, but when your TV is more or less has 4 or 5 years in service. For myself I’m planning to do the replacement one year a head from now.
The important point in your post is that even the broadcasting media is not 4k, the 4K TV will upscale its resolution to a much more quality.
Thanks again, keep up your good work

    1. Hello Amin!  Thanks for visiting our site http://www.4kadvice.com and reading our Posts.  More importantly, thank you for commenting and getting involved with our site about this newer 4K technology.

YES, one of the best benefits of owning a new 4K TV is the fact that they ALL UPSCALE or UPCONVERT.  These mean the same thing.

Upscaling  (see POST below) means that it digitally enhances for the better any 720 or 1080 HD film.  It makes it much better, however an upscaled film is not going to look as good as real, native 4K made films.  To be this, they need to be filmed using a 4K resolution camera.

1080 HD – WHAT IS UPSCALING?

  14. Incredible information! I can see MattI can see myself owning one of these soon! Incredible information! What I’ll do is go out to Walmart and buy one right away already been recommended one before by a friend and even though I may not have a content a show on it I’m looking forward to using it in the near future. I agree with everything you said from experience as well

    1. A 4K Ultra HD TV is the best way to go these days.  They are priced the same as any new 1080 HD, yet they are FOUR times better overall than any 1080 HD.  The picture image is stunning and will blow your mind when you first watch a real, native 4K film.

Soon, everyone will own a 4K TV, just like everyone now owns an HD TV.

HD came out in year 2000 and has been with us for 17 years.  HD replaced SD- Standard Definition and now 4K Ultra HD is replacing HD technology-wise.

A 1080 HD TV and a 4K UHD TB both look the same.  They appear identical, except they are not. There is a MAJOR difference ‘under the hood’.  4K TVs contains FOUR times as many pixels and it makes the picture look more real than ever before.

These are the best TVs this world has ever known.

      BEST 4K TV

BEST 4K TVs IN 2017 (some 2016 models)

  15. Wow and I thought we had reached the ultimate in TV viewing with the big HD screen and now it is going bigger and better again,.
This is an excellent review of the 4K TV UHD and the best part is the price. I have only just bought a TV 12 months ago and now I think I should have waited a little longer. Great review , I want one but not just yet, the current one needs to die first. Technology always seems to move faster than me.

    1. Hi Judy, that totally makes sense that you would wait to upgrade to a 4K Ultra HD TV now since you just recently bought one.

I agree that I use to think that nothing would ever be better than the flat panel 1080 HD TVs.  When those first came out in year 2000 and we got rid of those big, bulky, ugly tube box TVs, everyone was delighted and impressed with the HD resolution.

Now, after 17 years it is time for something better.  4K TVs are FOUR times better than a 1080 HD TV.  And, it contains FOUR times as many pixels which makes a HUGE difference in the picture image.  It is so real and true to life that it is a major shock when you first watch a native 4K movies or TV show.

Thanks Again, and please share our posts and site http://www.4kadvice.com with others. – Matt B.

  16. Yeah, many people don’t know the difference between 4K and 1080 hd but I think that’s also a marketing strategy for companies..

4K looks like to be the future for a long while and sticking to it will only benefit the users in the long run))

By the way what’s the BEST 4K TV that you can offer anyone?

    1. Hi Tyler, We totally agree with you.  4K TVs are here to stay for a long, long time.  After all, HD- High Definition flat panel TVs have been around for 17 years.

HD was first invented around year 2000 and it replaced the horrible ugly, disgusting large and heavy TUBE BOX TV with analog and SD-= Standard Definition resolution.

So with HD everyone was blow away because the picture image was so sharp and clear and amazing with vibrant details.

Most people have at least 1 1080 HD TV in their homes.

But, after 17 years it is time for a better TV watching experience and that is exactly what Ultra HD 4K is.  The picture is amazing for movies and gaming.

I would suggest SONY.  We saved $390 by purchasing our Sony 65-inch 4K UHD TV on Amazon compared to buying same tv in the store.

Sony was first to pioneer or invent 4K resolution so we prefer and recommend them.

Prices now for a 4K TV are about the same as any new 1080 HD so it makes ZERO sense for someone to buy another 1080 HD TV when they could have 4K for the same prices.  Take Care,  matt b.

      4K DRONES

  17. Haha, sometimes I miss my old tube box!

Well, not really – thinking of moving them around and that high pitch sound they made very often.

I also can encourage everyone to get 4K. Most of the new smartphones film in 4K and so many people have GoPros and drones – they all deliver in 4K. Such a gamechanger.

Do you reckon 4K is going to be THE standard for while?

    1. Hi Again Manny!   Thanks for reading our Posts and supporting our site http://www.4kadvice.com.  We are trying to educate our Readers about 4K Ultra HD TVs and other 4K dvices.

This technology is wonderful and the best TV watching this world has ever known.

Yes, 4K TVs are here to stay for a long, long time.  At least 20 years.  After all, HD has been with us for 17 years since it was invented in year 2000.

4K TVs are REPLACING HD- high Definition TVs and soon everyone will have one.  They are THAT good.

      Thanks, Matt B.

  18. Hi, It is nice to learn that 4K TV prices has reduced. When it came out three or four years ago, the prices was so high that I never thought it will one day be affordable. We have the HD TV at home and have been thinking of getting a new TV and with all the information I have gathered about the 4K TV, I think it is the way to go. Can’t wait to get one. Thank you for this information.

    1. Hello Stella!  Thank you so much for visiting our site http://www.4kadvice.com and taking the time to comment.

Yes, prices just a few years ago were sky high.  Actually, back in 2014 when we first saw a 4K demo in an electronics store, I just HAD to have one of these TVs.  I was blown away at how REAL the picture looked.

So, we went online to Amazon and paid close to $3K!  It was well worth it because we have enjoyed our Sony 65 inch for so many years now.

But, this same exact SONY 65-inch 4K UHD TV TODAY is more than HALF the price it was years ago. Today, you can buy my same 3K tv for only about $1,300 on Amazon.

Still though, at the time we were still saving $390 by purchasing it on Amazon versus what we would have paid for same TV in the store (like Best Buy).

Amazon is the way to go for buying a new 4K TV.  We have provided helpful links and reviews throughout our site directing you to Amazon if you need help.  Below are some other helpful posts also.  Take Care, Matt B.
